ISRO launched Bharatiya Antariksh Hackathon

What is Bharatiya Antariksh Hackathon
Bhartiya Hackathon is super initiative by the ISRO to encourage problem solving skills and also increase the space knowledge among the young people. the first Hackathon was started in 2024 in August 2024 and this program will be held every year.The second edition which is latest 2025 hackathon is launched by the Dr. V Narayanan, secretary, DOS and chairman of ISRO in june 18th 2025 with 18th problems related to Geo special domain, space science, image processing and AI and ML.
and also the main motive of conducting this hackathon is to develop problem solving skills among the young students and also to get inspire from the solutions offered by the young students and the same can be used in the improving space technologies and also ISRO director informed to students that one should participate with open mind and keep full efforts in problem solving by considering that the given solution will be utilized in space technology.
Who Can participate And Eligibility Criteria
This Hackathon is open to everyone who are studying in the postgraduation and also under graduation in all over the India. Every team should have at least 3 – 4 members to participate. and there will not be any college criteria any one from any college across the India can participate this challenge, we can participate as a team or we can can register as a solo and participate in a team to join this program.

What is the selection process?
Students can participate from all over the India and there is no limit at the initial stage, each team should have only 4 students. once after sharing the problems to the students, time will be given to solve the problems with the students ideology as a presentation, so after designing the problem for the solution each team solutions will be verified by the ISRO team and there will be 1st stage of screening – ISRO will shortlist 140 teams so among these 140 teams there will be a final round of 30 Hrs. and among them 30 teams will be shortlisted.
